Lilly's Bridge, Swift Island, Norwood and Stony Mountain public accesses include paddle or canoe use. These are shared launching areas, so prepare the craft and gear out of the way of trailers and boats using the ramp.

Lake Tillery, the Uwharrie River and neighboring reservoirs appear together in regional trip ideas, but they are not one simple continuous route. A river trip can involve different access, moving water and a vehicle waiting at the take-out.
Use current agency maps and a route briefing from the operator where relevant. This visitor map does not provide a dam passage or portage route. Keep clear of restricted areas and never treat a nearby map pin as evidence of a navigable connection.
Conditions can look calm at the launch while wind and boat wakes affect more exposed water. Wear an appropriate life jacket, review the forecast and alerts, and keep the route within the group's abilities. The gauge cannot confirm safe passage.
The access site's closing time belongs in the plan, along with time to load the craft. If the weather does not support the outing, a Morrow Mountain or town visit is another option. A paddle launch is not a public swimming beach.
