Vineyard rows and the view from Stony Mountain Vineyards.
Three places to spend an afternoon
Dennis Vineyards
Albemarle / Endy
The Rustic, the public beer-and-wine bar at Dennis Vineyards, is an Endy-area stop west of Albemarle. Food trucks and music add to the outing on scheduled dates.
At Stony Mountain, vineyard rows look out toward the wooded hills around Tillery. The tasting room is outside Albemarle; allow time to sit with the view rather than rushing to the next winery.
Uwharrie Vineyards has a wine room and patio on Austin Road outside Albemarle. Drop in during public wine-room hours for a glass; tastings and tours need a reservation.
Uwharrie’s reserved tastings and tours are separate from its public wine-room hours. Stony Mountain’s tasting room and The Rustic at Dennis Vineyards have their own schedules too; private-event office hours aren’t bar hours.
Arrange a designated driver or hired transport before tasting. One winery and a meal in Albemarle can be plenty for an afternoon. Our wine-country itinerary is a suggested outing, not an affiliated tour.
