The tasting schedule matters more than fitting in all three wineries. Ask about your date, especially a Sunday, and arrange a designated driver or transport before tasting.
The tasting room and walking trails
The tasting room has wine by the glass or bottle, meat-and-cheese trays and snacks, with a deck overlooking the Uwharrie Mountains and lower Yadkin Valley.
The Stony Mountain Hiking Trail and Peppermint Loop start at the parking lot and use rocky paths. Wear suitable footwear, read the trailhead signs and complete the operator-linked liability waiver before walking. Confirm the trail closing time before setting out.
Call 704-982-0922 before a Sunday visit. The winery lists Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve and Christmas Day as closed.
