Hours source & corrections

Based on published America/New_York hours, not live venue confirmation. Unlisted days and unverified holiday changes remain uncertain. Meal availability can have a separate cutoff. Routine monthly rechecking does not make a supported schedule disappear when due. Structured sources can be checked automatically; other sources need manual review.

Choose the trail and the loop

The Forest Service describes Dutchman’s Creek as an 11.5-mile, easy-to-moderate trail connecting with the southern Uwharrie Trail. That is the named trail’s length, not the distance of every combined loop. Start with the official map and choose your return route before setting out.

Trailhead parking is on NC 24/27 west of Troy. The agency also lists Wood Run Camp, Yates Place and West Morris Mountain among the camping areas along the trail network. Check current forest notices and the individual camp’s arrangements before planning an overnight hike.
